The compact system is assembled in such a way that it can be installed directly at the place of foundry where sand cores, core pieces and residues, lumps from castings, etc. are accumulated. Examples include:

- the workstation of a sand core welding machine,
- a sand core storage area,
- the sand core insertion section of an automatic moulding plant or
- the discharge station of a light metal foundry.

The system can be used as a mobile unit.
